St. Dominic Savio Feast and Investiture ceremony

On the 6th of July, the day of St. Dominic Savio Feast, Don Bosco School and Junior College had their Investiture Ceremony where they installed 198 leaders.
St. Dominic Savio: also known as the champion of God, merely survived till the age of 14. Inspite of having such short life span Dominic continues to remain an epitome of leadership.
The day began with celebration of Mass by Fr. Ajay D'monte. For the non-catholics a prayer service was held which focused on the virtues of St. Dominic and how could we imbibe the same in our life.  It gave answers to the questions like,WHAT IS GOD, WHAT IS SIN, WHY SHOULD WE OBEY OUR PARENTS.

The second part of the Celebration was the Investiture Ceremony. The entire School witnessed the installation of 198 leaders including the Capatains, Vice-captains for the school and various houses and the monitors.
Fr. Rector Michael Bansode, Fr. Principal Bosco D'mello and Parish priest Fr. Ajay D'monte led the oath of the leaders and motivated them by giving them ties as a symbol of their responsibilities.
Towards the end Fr. Rector said, "A leader is the one who has a vision for his community, may you be the righteous leader. "
