Dear Students, Staff and Parents,
A warm welcome to one and all. It is great to be back here in the Principal’s chair after 24 years. Never did I imagine that I would once again return to Yerwada as Principal.
I wholeheartedly embraced the opportunity presented to me because of the deep seated love I have for the growth and well being of every student in this school. In the last one year that I have been on campus as Rector, I have engaged and interacted with all the staff, most of the students and a few parents . I eagerly look forward to this upcoming academic year with enthusiasm and optimism.
This year is going to be special as it is the Golden Jubilee year of the school - an important milestone in its history. It’s a time to look back and give praise and thanks to God Almighty and the entire staff who have toiled endlessly over the last 50 years to bring the school to where it is at present. We also need to set our sights on the future, envisioning where we aspire to take the school in the years to come and the transformative impact we aim to achieve.
Congratulations to our batch of 10th graders who have recently done exceedingly well in their board exams and have made the school proud. I wish to also extend my heartfelt congratulations to the principal Fr. Ajit Munis, and the teachers who demonstrated exceptional dedication, particularly in supporting our students with additional needs to ensure that we achieved a remarkable cent percent result. I wish the students all the best in their future endeavours.
The ‘Strenna’ for this year is “The Dream that makes you dream” A heart that transforms wolves into lambs. We hope to fulfil in the academic year ahead the dream of our father and founder Don Bosco, to see that every child in the school receives an integral education that will then help him/her to transform the world in the future, a theme we intend to embrace for the new academic year.
The handbook is a tool that guides us as the months go by. A lot of effort goes into planning this book. I request everyone to go through it and be supportive of all that is planned for the coming year. May we all, students, staff, parents and management work in unity to achieve the goals we set for ourselves this year.
My good wishes to all as we begin the new academic year.
Regards,
Fr. Crispino D’souza
